I hope that taking these 3 simple steps has inspired you to think about your pet’s preparedness. Next, I challenge you to use the information you've gathered to assemble a preparedness kit for your beloved pets. Gather a 5-gallon bucket, plastic tote, old suitcase, or any suitable container and collect your pet’s supplies together in one convenient place. Completing this project gave me a real sense of relief. I feel especially secure leaving my kitties with a housesitter now, knowing I can simply say, "In an evacuation emergency, grab the cats and this bag—it has everything you need to keep them safe until I return.”
